Can’t Let It Go, a funky new single with a vintage feel.
Montreal, November 12th, 2020 — No Trombones to release its fourth ear-catching single, a funky and toe tapping song entitled “Can’t Let It Go”, featuring the soulful voice of Sakari on December 15th, 2020.
The song is about broken trust. When one part of a couple discovers that the other half has been hiding something. It takes courage to face a partner and make the decision to end a relationship.
This song was written and produced by award-winning songwriter Rick Vincent and features a horn section led by the masterful saxophonist Mischa Ruhr, the solid bass playing of Jahanzaib Bitou Mirza and a tasty groove from drummer Jason Meekins, all topped off by the amazing vocal talents of Sakari.
Sakari was Chicago born and raised and grew up singing in the church gospel choir. She has been writing and recording since she was 12, releasing her first solo album at the age of 16. She has been doing live and session work with many well-known artists for many years now.
Rick says: “Working with talented musicians around the world is such an exciting experience. It forces you to really think about what you are trying to do and to find the best way to express it to the people who are contributing to making the song and the production stand out. It is very fulfilling process!”.
Sakari is currently based in Los Angeles, Mischa provided the horn section from Germany, Jason recorded the drums in Austin, Texas, while with Rick and Bitou are located in Montréal, Canada. So they can easily claim that proper social distancing was used in the production of this song!
